Growing up, I lived in a broken home with no father to be an influence. So I was made to be the man in the family. As the oldest boy, I felt that I was supposed to be the strong one for my mother. It was definitely a hard role to take on, but I truly am grateful and thank my mom everyday for what we were put through. If it wasn't for the hard times in my life, I would have never became the person I am now, the person that wants so much to be a power lifter and succeed in life and knows that someday, my chance will come.
Now gone with the sappy stuff!
I started lifting around age 16 with the pastor of my church and later on moved on to lifting with friends in their basement at 18.
I got 405 at 260 lbs with a 2 ply shirt at 18 years old, which I am extremely proud of.
Without a shirt I got 365.
When I started working, I took 2 years off, which was the hardest thing to do, being that lifting is my legal drug. When I came back I got stronger than ever hitting 400 raw just in December of '07 at 315 lbs. Came back deadlifting 430 for 1, squatting 420. I unfortunately broke my ankle in march, but surprisingly healed fast and came back in may at around 320 lbs, hit 365 bench press for 3 reps. As of 6/19/08 I maxed out over 400 on dead lift and did 385 for bench press for two reps and then did 405 for one easy rep. So I'm getting back to where i think i should be. It will all come in time! now that I'm on Fluids muscle recovery drink i think I'm going to gain a lot faster. It tastes great and I feel like I have more energy for my next lifting day! I just take it right after I'm done lifting and I feel great the next day, no pain! So that old saying no pain no gain doesn't mean anything to me anymore , thanks to Fluid!
