What inspires you to compete?
My wife. Even though she has Mulitple Sclerosis, she still is one of the most physically fit people I know. She is such a motivator. She continues to train even though she faces a constant battle with this disease. She supports me and pushes me to race and strive to be better. She's my best friend, my buddy, my pitgirl, my gridgirl and my cheerleader. She's also my wife.
Some Personal Information About Me:
Several years ago, I was 40 pounds overweight and having serious health issues. After one-too-many visits to the doctor (a few involving CT scans), I vowed to change the way I was living and get into shape. I dropped the weight and have been very active in running, cycling ever since. Even though I am in better shape now then I was in the Air Force, I wanted to get better at the sports and in even better shape. Competing was the next logical step. This means pushing myself both physically and mentally.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
My schedule consists of: bike 2x/week, swim 2x/week, run 2x/week, and strength training 3x/week.

Just voted on your site dude...looks better than mine:) I wish I knew how to add sponsors that I have from outside loopd...you obviously figured it out. Maybe you could give me some info? Just raced on Sunday in my first ever "Expert Category" MTB race...placed 2nd too! Maybe my better mtb'ing will transfer over to XTERRA next season. Talk to you later.

Michael, First of all thank you back for your military service. Even though you were a fly boy I wont hold it against you LOL. We appreciated all the bombs you all dropped on bad guys in Iraq. Thank for the count down ticker too. It seems to get peeps excited like a bomb or something is going to go off or someone is going to get a beat down. Guess that could all happen at a race though.
